 Snorkel Expedition around Bali

Our Snorkeling Expedition as one
round is accomplish on 25th April 2007. Thank you very much for the support and
many cheering for all of them.
Now as Angel was joined to this team
from Tulamben (on 24th March 2007) still our team must go on till reach to
Tulamben to accomplish this tip by Only Balinese who tried for his island with

 On
this trip Angel (Ketut Kamar) will be accompany by Team leader Saheem. They
expect to complete the trip within 4-5 days depending on weather condition.
The first leg of circum navigation of Bali, we are able to
achieve our goals without getting any help no assistance from any government
authorities and private parties we are very positive this part of event also we
can do the same things.
We thank you Absolute Scuba (Andy Taylor) for his assistance
by providing some of the necessary equipment for the team and Bali Marine Sports
(Made Wirawan) for his support and his friendship.
It would have been very pleasant to see other stake holders
from the tourism industry specially the Marine Tourism Industry taking part in
making event like this a successful event as this sort of activities are done on
be half of all and good benefit will be shared by all. From the first part of
this expedition what we have found was over 90% of the reefs in Bali are
destroyed, Bali is loosing 2-3m of beach every year because of abrasions and as
the results of this destructive methods of fishing (bomb fishing and cyanide,
potassium fishing) around Bali such as what we have experienced some areas there
were 5 bomb fishing events in 1 hour time. Also Destruction of Marine
archeological sites (Ship Wrecks etc) around Bali. The negative result of all
this will hurt traditional fisherman around Bali and Marine Tourism Industry
stake holders.
All of us need to work hard to keep the envirionment of Bali
clean and protection & Preserve the envirionment of Bali for future generations.
As one of few natural resouses available in Bali is the ocean. Man made
polusions such as plastic in north and west of Bali is more than fish. This is a
pitty.
We will update all the information after accomplish this
trip!!
 Before 12th of March 2007, there will be
3 snorkellers who are
doing a snorkel expedition around Bali.
Purpose of this snorkel expedition is to raise

environment awareness

protection and preservation of our environment

Promote marine tourism industry in Indonesia and Bali

to let people knows that our planet is very small and we need
to take good care of it.
 During the snorkel expedition, they will collect
Man Made pollutions from the
sea of Bali as much they can, do documentary, photography of U/W, and visit
villagers on the route to explain to villagers the present condition of our
environment particularly Bali.
